Lemon Broccoli

Ingredients

  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh lemon rind

Directions

  1. Steam florets until they are crisp-tender, about 6 minutes.
  2. Drain well.
  3. Toss with lemon juice, butter, and lemon rind.
Lemon Broccoli

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch broccoli (1lb.)
  • salt
  • 1 large lemon, juice and zest of, grated
  • pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Directions

  1. Cut flourets from broccoli. Trim and peel steams, then cut crosswise into 1/4 inch slices.
  2. Heat 1 inch water in pan large enough to hold steaming rack or basket to boiling.
  3. Place broccoli steaming rack and scatter flourets over top.
  4. Salt boiling water, place rack in pan, and steam covered until tender.
  5. Place broccoli in sreving bowl.
  6. Add 2 tablespoons lemon juice and half of zest and oil, salt and pepper to teast.
  7. Toss quickly to combine and serve hot
